Overview

WPN-HS series is redesigned on the basis of WPN series with surface coating technology, coated by the resin of high voltage insulation on the core surface evenly, to improve the voltage insulation and corrosion resistance of the core. Furthermore, WPN-HS series has the same performance with molding type.

Background

Ferrite power inductor cannot meet the increasing performance requirement of backlight driver of LCD screen in smart phone, while the metal core inductor with higher performance used in backlight driver risks voltage breakdown because of its low voltage insulation. WPN-HS series is processed with surface coating technology, coated by the resin of high voltage insulation level coating on the core surface evenly by automatic equipment, to improve the voltage insulation and corrosion resistance of the core, suitable for backlight driver application where large current is necessary.

Voltage range the power inductor sustained: 

  • 5~6 inch smart phone LCD backlight driver: 20~30VDC 
  • 13.3 inch notebook PC LCD backlight driver: 28VDC
  • 40 inch LCD TV backlight driver: 30VDC
